Why is the term “for killing”? Does it mean that you will kill to have it again!! I know that it doesn’t mean that it’s going to kill you ! Whatever it means, my meal is going to be fabulous and I’m gonna enjoy it for at least two days and maybe three. The lamb shank is pretty big and the vegetables I put in half are amazing but one particular potato I put in the whole I didn’t peel the skin. I put it in the hole because it’s my first product! Yes I have tomatoes but that’s not farming, tomatoes is a good thing you have to have! Potatoes are planted all over the place!!! Well to tell you the truth it was only because a potato I had in a bowl started growing leaves in the bowl. I didn’t want to take the leaves off so I took the potato and put it on my field and watched it grow! Oh, by the way, my field is 4″ x 24″ x 4″ deep it’s normally used in a window on the outside of the window but for me it was my farmland and so now I have my first crop! I have another crop growing with 30 giant tomato plants growing in my other farm. Since my dog Bella has to be fenced in because she’s a retriever and if she’s out free she’s gone the last time she was 3 miles away, so I have it fenced in and along the fence I first had a little seeds and turned them into little plants and now these plants are 2 foot high there’s roughly 30 of them and today I went and saw there were some flowers starting so I’ll be seeing tomatoes in a month meantime in the other piece of my property which is a garden that is existed here on this property for 40 years why do I say was that because when it was planted as a garden it had a lot of sun now the sun comes and the trees from one side block the garden and the trees behind it block the garden so it never sees the sun but I didn’t know that because I just moved here and didn’t know what the sun did on the property. I planted it about two months ago. Two came from Walmart and they are now 6 feet high and so far I got four tomatoes off of them, Delicious but a little stringy and small. So that garden is useless unless I cut the trees and I don’t think that’s a smart idea. Well that’s my story I’m sitting in the sun, no, I’m sitting in the shade in the sun. Why do I tell you this because I wanted to tell this one guy on Nextdoor who doesn’t believe my stories, and my stories are true as all my stories were fun and all my stories will continue!!! Oh while I’m at it I think I’ll say something I never really thought of and that is although my family is Italian Italian, I’m really not, in fact my siblings are not, why because my grandfather when he arrived in 1887, knew that he had to be an American because he was in America! He left Italy because he wanted to become successful. So he told his children not to teach your children the Italian language, they are American and have nothing to do with Italy.

So as much as I would have liked to have learned Italian he was correct because he gave us the chance that many Italians who arrived after him didn’t do! They became American Italians!Italians still keep all their ways still holding on to the memories of Italy. My siblings never had the chance to be Italian. He knew that if we were going to be true Americans our Italian heritage was pushed aside. Why, you may ask? Well at the time Italians were considered blacks were treated as blacks and he knew that the first thing he had to do was earn a living but not like all the Italians who arrived here who are given only one job!Build railroads, build houses, build the streets, and that’s what all Italians who arrived in America did! He went to a fishmarket and got a job starting at the lowest level cleaning fish separating fish doing whatever is necessary when the fish boat arrived and needed to be unloaded for the market to sell he became very good at it and moved up the ladder as they saw his abilities were more than just cleaning and picking out at the same time, and he had a friend, a co-worker who eventually became the head of the Mafia in the United States. But my grandfather said, no no no that was no way to go for him or his family. Sometimes I feel very Italian and that is in my cooking because my sainted mother taught me, a boy being taught how to cook! Well that was because I was always around doing work for her, building walls, a new fron t porch, building a garage, re-shingling the house. So I was there and when I would come in she would say look at this and say this is how you do it So I learned how to cook!!! So now I’m learning how to be a farmer, with one row 20’x4′ a nice crop so far, but the rabbits love my squash!

Well today is Friday, 12 August and I must say I just finished making a lamb shank meal and it’s going to take four hours but when it’s done it will be for killing!
