This is a happening that took place yesterday February 11, 2022
I have been here in Fresno California visiting with my siblings and it’s just another day in the life of a man who lives for the next adventure.
Well every day I walk Bella and every day she loves me more but yesterday she thought she loved a little dog more as she took off for that dog without me realizing what she was doing and so, she pulled me, and it was so strong that I actually flew from the sidewalk I was standing on, into the street! The streets here in Fresno California are made of a gravel tar mix that have little points all over the road. So here I am now flying two feet off the ground and land on my right shoulder, then turn and land on my left knee, as I’m falling forward, to then trying to stop my motion, on my left hand, ad my right hand, but thank God I stopped and never hit my head! Well I was in such bad shape that the owner of the little dog had to help me get up, with blood pouring out of all my wounds, as I’m now on 2 blood thinners! He asked if I needed help to get home, and I said no and thanked him.
Finally walking another 30 yards and into my brother Al’s house, I realized I was in very bad shape so I called Al’s daughter Angela, who came running with her husband and son. They took over as best they could and bandaged me up, but they had no way to do anything for my right shoulder which was really the main hurt. Now I was hurting so bad that Angela gave me pain pills that finally stopped most of the pain! They left and home, and who should then arrive but my sister Elizabeth’s daughter, Annette Calandra with her husband Craig. At first they were really schocked, but they took over, and fed me but more importantly brought a bottle of great red wine which Craig and I had only for medicinal purposes! Annette said that we’d better go to urgent care, and that’s what we did and they found no Broken bones and continued to repair all else. Well to me it was just another experience to put in my fabulous story writings, and here I thought I would never fly, but here again, I did “fly”at 89!!
